We are in Madrid!!! I dont really know what its like because I am in a state of semi consciousness. We are stopping over here on our way to Paris, we have about 5 hours. We are in the McDonalds cafe, contemplating the meaning of life and appreciating the awesomeness of the one-euro menu. It really is something after the three seventy five reais menu in Brazil. Thoughts, Andy?
I gottahand it to the Americans, as much as I would like to deny it....MC DONALDS CHANGED THE WORLD!!!!! Its great really, we are eating apples and drinking coffee floats!!! So wesome! (Ack, I feel sick!!!! Im in Madrid, eating McDs!!! Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!) Well... leaving that aside, this is indeed the poshest airport Ive ever been to! Its got rainbow colored poles, and ivory wooden ceilings, shaped in waves that make you wanna look upwards instead of staring at your feet while walking! I bet it will look pretty boring after 5 hours tho....Becky took the responsibility off her hands by handing me the lap top, so I could finish this blog....and shes trying to keep herself busy with Portuguese cross word puzzles (word search) as an excuse not eat the last piece of apple on the tray....its really cute, shes trying so hard not to eat it that she just said; - You can have it!, - What?, - The last piece of the apple!!! - Oh! (She totally wants it!! Shes so in denial that I might have to call her PAM for the rest of the day!!!! But heck. Im gonna reach for it right now! (I just asked if she didnt want it again, and she said; - No, you can have it! Its my GIFT to you! NOTE: See how she wanted it??? A gift, she said!!!!) Well, no mercy! I ate it all in one bite!! Wow.... my head is spinning right now.....feels like Im swimming while sitting...maybe I spent too much time staring at the ceiling!!!!! Spock! Any sign of life down there???????? No captain...just a wet blanket named Pam (personal joke...)
Well Becky here again. The flight here was relatively uneventful except for the rude Brazilians sitting in front of us having a party and not caring about us squinting at the ipod screen and trying to hear "The Notebook..." one of my favourites but its much better when you can make out the facial expressions. As you can tell, Iberia has no personal screens and mostly showed Spanish music videos, some of which were quite scary but we couldnt hear it because our sound thingees didnt work. Quite the ghetto plane actually. Instead we played cards and made up conversations between the actors on the screen, mostly involving poodles and life regrets. The angry parts were the best.
Well anyway it is cool to be together and be able to laugh about everything and endlessly quote movies and TV shows. Just like the good old days. We are practising Japanese a lot and its really fun to remember, its all coming back...
My gosh I am so tired. Its like 4am in Brasil and we are getting another flight in two and a half hours and will then have to navigate our way to the hostel. Pff! Andy here; as of now I woulld like to officially declare that I hate rude people, no matter what country they come from, and that Im problably less tolerant since coming back from Japan....so I dont care what you might say about personal parties in flights, there are no excuses.....and while Im blowing air into the trombone, Id like to additionally state that I DONT like Spanish music.....not a fan per se!!!! And I feel really bad.... cause all I want is a siesta! No MANGAS in the book stores either!!! Another minus point.....the polls are dropping....it will make it easier to conquer Spain!!! Fufufu!r
