Hola amigos!!
Wow I am so excited!! I leave for Brazil the day after tomorrow, and between now and then I have to do a lot, so this will be my last entry before I go!! AgH! I've done a lot of shopping lately, bought presents and stuff better to buy here, like my hard drive, an ipod for my friend's brother, peanut butter and some other random stuff. I'm pretty sure I have most things, but I haven't seen so many people I wanted to see, I guess that will have to wait for the next time I'm here. I'm going to look into the GRE today to see if I can get my masters here, and I'll also look into it in Brazil. Should be interesting to try it in another country! Anyway back to the subject of the chapter. I'va had a fab time staying here, this week I stayed with Kyna adn Cami, roomies from freshman year. So much has changed for us, but in some ways it's amazing because it feels like yesterday we were in stolen shopping carts being pushed around the hall in a race with other people in other shopping carts, and making clubs for people who were not serial daters to make ourselves feel better. I feel like I've become quite different in that respect, I've been on a few dates since I came out here and it's been really fun. This weekend we went out to a benefit concert for a Guatemalan orphanage and apart from being really cold and me buying six raffle tickets and not winning a darned thing it was cool, I want to go to Guatemala now and help out. We will see how that idea goes. We met some hilarious guys there who Kyna already knew, and they came back to drink hot chocolate and laugh at SNL. They called us on Sunday and we went to go make Guatemalan food and it was REALLY good.  I could eat that. I mean, it was pretty simple and cheap, but whatever...plus I have become addicted to smoothies and we mixed strawberries, pineapple, banana and peaches and sugar, and I was in heaven.
I just took a shower in this apartment (which I have done before) and I almost burnt the crap out of my skin...I went to turn the taps off and turned one off and the other on full. Very bad. For a moment I considered trying to reach the hot one and turn it off but it was too hot and I jumped out of the shower and reached through the other way to turn it off, almost impaling myself on the plunger. I tell you what, I've used so many different showers on this trip, I get confused sometimes.
I hope everyone is doing well, apparently you can't leave comments on here unless you're a member, but feel free to leave them on my facebook page. (Cause everyone has facebook, right?)
Tchau!
