After the pampas tour we went on a 3-day jungle tour. It was also great fun and very different o the pampas. We went into the Madidi national park for some jungle treking. There were a lot less animals to see in the jungle but you could hear all sorts of birds and monkeys around the place, very atmospheric. We saw some taranchulas and other scary jungle spiders, and lots of monkeys, plus interesting plants & insects. A highlight for me was looking out over the jungle from the top of a high cliff where a large number of macaws have their nests and they were flying around below us. Floating down the river on a balsa wood trunk was great too.

Company recommendation: Mashaquipe was excellent, and our guide Ishmail has a lot of very intresting stories.
