Well, we're home and getting readjusted. Doing piles of laundry, cutting the knee high grass, retrieving pets, going through stacks of junk mail and bills, getting film developed, getting medicines, checking emails, spending every second with the girlfriend.... Yes, things have a way of naturally returning to equilibrium.

Insights that I had about our trip:

It was wonderful to drive cross country, and see how the landscape changes. It's something that you just can't get from a plane trip. I'm glad we did it ......once, not again.

The awesomeness of the Grand Canyon cannot be done justice with pictures.
The Grand Canyon's height is scary.

Teenage hormones control all, even the ability to enjoy the Grand Canyon.

You need to be in shape, with good shoes to navigate Vegas.

Southern hospitality is all housed in the southeast USA.

Even if you have to force it on teens, there is no replacement for quality family time.

If you have a 'bucket list' of you own, do it while you can.

The USA has committed human rights crimes against the Native American peoples, by stealing their land, then forcing them to live on arid deserts with no way for them to sustain themselves. The Navajo Nation is less than 10 miles from the Hoover Dam, yet 75% of the Navajo have no running water, no electricity and no indoor plumbing. If any other country were to treat their native peoples in this way, we would be invading them. I'm glad that we could do a small part by buying our souvenirs directly from the Indians.

I hope that you all enjoyed my blog.    Peace out.                     Becky
