becca....Awesomeness.  This park was seriously cool - its one of the smallest in CR, but also one of the most popular, I think because of the combo of scenic park and beautiful beaches - kinda heavenly almost. As soon as we arrived at our hotel we got to see a handful of playful monkies in the entrance way, snacking on stollen bananas. so cute! i want one.

we got into the town pretty late so we just walked around a bit,  shared a casado ( one of our fav food here so far, its a plate of mixed things like a meat or fish, rice, beans, and salad variety / mm mm) then passed out pretty early. in the AM we seriously had the breakfast of champions (not to dwell on food but seriously...u had to see it)  .. first it was a huge plate each with a pancake, sliced banana, and huge slices of papaya, pineapple and watermellon, then after that a huge separate plate of eggs, rice&beans and bread .. clearly i ended up not eating alot of it, but it was just amazing that all of that was  about $3.
ANYWAY .. so we spent the entire day hiking thru the park, we literally went through almost every possible path, even the hidden ones. i was proud of myself, esp since my knee has been really bothering me ... tho thats a different story and im definitely suffering after the fact. but anyway - we saw more monkies, racoons, lots of birds, iguanas, deers, sloths....and some really awesome views. overall just a cool place, never seen a park like that. i'll let asaf add his 2 cents i tend to be a computer hog hehe....

Asaf- The park truly was amazing because of the mix of rainforest and beach and I would have loved to have some snorkeling gear because water is calm and has beautiful fish.  I definately want to second the breakfast we had at our hostel, it may have been the best I've ever had and I would almost recommend staying there just for that.  Becca summed up our day there well but I just wanted to mention we met an awsome dog that a couple at our hostel brought on vacation but we can't remember the name or figure out the breed.  It was and English something.
