Hello everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend!

I am in Ho Chi Minh City in the south of Vietnam, where I have been for seven whole days! It's been very nice to stay somewhere for so long, since we have been moving a lot for the last couple months. This city used to be called 'Saigon', but was renamed in 1976, to honour Ho Chi Minh. Does anyone remember who he was?

I've really enjoyed this city, there's lots and lots of delicious food from all over the world, the people are really friendly, and there's a lot to see and do. I went shopping in a market called Ben Thanh (Ben Tan), I've been to see a church that looks like Notre Dame in Paris, and I've walked and walked and walked around the crazy, busy streets!

Another thing I did here, which I did not expect to be able to do, was I went to see the new Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn, at the cinema! It felt just like I was at home for a couple hours. I even had popcorn! Yum!

Tomorrow morning I am leaving Vietnam, and flying to Bangkok in Thailand. I'm very excited to be in Thailand, because Thai food is my absolute favourite in the world!

I'll add some more pictures of Vietnam for you now! I hope you like them. Talk to you from Thailand!

What are your friends first names. Was it a fairly safe city to be in?

Hi Lily! I'm sorry it took me a while to answer your question about Vietnam, I didn't see it till now! Saigon did feel very safe, in fact everywhere I've been so far has felt very safe. I make sure to use my common sense though just like I do at home, for example I wouldn't walk around at night by myself. As long as I act sensibly I feel safe! Oh and my friend's names are Carolyn and Christina, and they're sisters!
