Today we arrived in camden en route to Acadia National Park. We took a coastal drive stopping off to see some of the many lighthouses in the area - Ade reckoned he'd seen one with red stripes on it - not where we were looking.
By the time we'd arrived in Camden the weather had become slightly overcast so our trip to the top of the mountain to see the view was curtailed. Our accommodation was a mile walk from town, but the place was really nice we had chairs on a terrace overlooking the sea and the walk wasn't too bad - it meant that we'd 'earnt' our dinner.
We had a drink down by the harbour watching the boats, but it started to drizzle slightly so we went to a restaurant with a roof for dinner. We had dinner in Cappys - which attracted both locals and tourists into it's busy bar. I've become hooked onto summer ales - there are so many great local breweries in the area - a treat for any beer drinker. I decided to have a lobster roll - see what all the hype was about - everywhere you go you see loads of places serving lobster & particularly lobster roll. It was great - lobster & mayo in a toasted roll. Since we'd walked such a long way into town & had the return walk home we decided that we could treat ourselves to some dessert - delicious.
Another late night in our crazy party world (about 9.45), but lucky we got back when we did because the heavens opened & we fell asleep to the rain.
