Are you wondering why the above subject has nothing to do with teaching English? And I thought I have "broken up" with banking land, where it seperates the rich and the poor.

Banking - The Dark Force, was my first presentation I did today during "peer teaching" session. It was like a trial teaching (about anything except language) to my fellow classmates before I actually teach the Czech students..... *sweat* Funny, I am very verbal and communicative as a student in the class or as a teacher teaching a small group of students not more than 3. When I had to stand up in front of everybody and speak...I was so nervous.

It was a really physical and healthy presentations by all. We had someone to teach

1. Country dancing (2-step)
2. CPR
3. Tennis
4. Yoga and breathing techniques
5. Pilates!
6. others like Dinosaurs and Prague

These presentation were demostrative and engaging and I thought "shit, I'm only going to talk about money (which I never have enough). My opening line was

"Hello everyone, I'm Joyce. Today, I'm going to talk about my LEAST favourite topic, but unfortunately my MOST familiar topic, money and banking...." and everyone laughed (sort of). Phew, I hoped I broke the ice. I asked them "So, what do you think about bankers?".... and as usual nowadays, everyone was shaking their heads.... hehehehe......

blah blah blah...... By the end of my presentation, everyone would have felt how much I had disliked my job towards the end of my tenure. haha.

I actually had a hard time thinking what to talk about. I can probably give a lecture on anything that are theoretical. Given only 6 minutes, I need to bring out the "juice" of a topic. So, I hoped I (once a banker) entertained them by talking about bad about banking.... and giving the presentation an unique title...  *cheek cheek*

p.s. Frankly, I had a super long day. spent 10 hours at school and I'm still now finishing some preparations for tomorrow and it's 1220! But never in my intention I want to skip any blog entry of my trip becasue I need to answer to some loyal fans I have! :)

*back to study*
