Had few beers in town at kuckis pub ( really amazing food...enough to bring me back!), met a few people travelling around africa clad in khaki and overland crocs (sandals crossed with hicking boots - always a no no). Nice but all rather dull, except i did get an impromtu dentist check up!

Next day with clutch watch an disc brake drama at the back of my mind we went to do some sand boarding in the dunes. Absolutely stunning but the boarding not worth it...one minute down and twenty minute hike back in 40 degrees. Packed it in for belly sliding on a bit of waxed cardboard, sometimes it's theme things!

Met A few likeable and interesting characters (Ivor, dupti, mark and Brie - a pilot who works on humanitarian aid in conflict zones, a teacher, an artist and a nutcase, in no particular order). We all found a common ground dislike for tour buses and overland vehicles packed with whooping and wowing Aussie twenty something's...oh dear!

We set off for Sossusvlei, some hard riding ahead but brilliant fun, absolutely live these roads!!

Crossing the tropic of capricorn, one of the last momentous occasions!

It's a night of sleeping under the stars and after a few beers at sunset in the dunes with our new little gang we head off. A great day but I've also said to Adrian it's time to go home!

I'm gutted, I don't want this to end but with cold beer on tap, burgers on the menu and things that just work the adventure has truly gone! Now its just a holiday...
