Flag of Namibia  , Erongo,
Tuesday, November 20, 2012

The road to Swakopmund was gravel all the way, not that challenging but some very deep gravel and powder ruts that give you a twitch on all the wrong places... Nothing to it except power on!
The desert scenery changes so fast as do the colours of the sand, stunning part of the world!

We stopped at on the salt road to hentjies bay where we planned to stay... For a bit of a horse town there are guest houses galore so after dividing our time searching for Namibian flags, and lunch we started looked for accommodation... Welcome to eagles Guest house with two options the proprietor said; one is cheap but there are many blacks staying there and there's a lot of coming and going do i dontvrecomend it while the other side is more expensive but more for whites... Y'know to keep the bikes safe! Hmm thanks love but I think we may move on.

It's strangely rather cold and very overcast as we decide to drive onto swakopmund, it's a salt road down and this sound exciting!

Swakopmund is quite a nice little town, strangely feels like a holiday town we used to go to as children mixed with a European / German village. We sexists stay two nights, we had also seen a few overland vehicles so some new company may be in order... Mind you, Strange people over landers!

Went to Yamaha motorcycle shop for advice on where to stay and eat.. As You do!
