Yaounde to Mefou - just south of the city we've been told of an ape sanctuary where they rehabilitate gorillas and chips to be released back into the wild. So, on The quest to see gorillas in the wild this is a definite stop.
It was a bit a ropey road but well worth it. Seeing (and smelling) the gorillas up close is amazing, just a pity it's not fully wild. Chimps were incredible too, so human like, using tools and facial expressions are so human human like.
Got into ebolowa ready for the border crossing and went through the the package Rachel very kindly sent, including brake pads and passports with DRC and Angolan visas!
Rather chuffed at my growing understanding of my bike...did my brake pads today without any phone calls!
Had dinner in the town, then people were so friendly, bit different to the north!
Good bye Cameroon, people a bit reserved but beautiful country!
