We left adiaki fairly early to take an easy ride to the Noe / Ebulo border to Ghana. Stopped in the market and got some bananas (addicted) and bread, had a cup if tea served on a saucer, so posh in a township!

We have been so pleasantly surprised by the police and soldiers, they've been really friendly and helpful. We cleared vote di vore customs easily and the crossed to the Ghanaian entry post! Haha got a real shock when we started asking where to go in broken French and our international hand gestures for customs only to be greated with "good afternoon, please park your bikers to the right and take your passports to that office".... Forgot English is the first language here!

Again brilliant officials, so friendly and not a hint of a bribe.

Ghana appears to be the land of Jesus, petrol companies and mobile phones... Each one supporting the other and collectively wishing you a nice day!

Stopped at a road side hawker for a coke and roasted plantain.

We headed for Elmina and after driving along for sometime dribbled across the Stumble inn (see what I did there). The place is a amazing, huts on the beach with coconut palms and a bar! We're staying 2 nights!

I thought a lot about my mum today, not sure why, it just felt like she was here. Miss her!

Watched the fishing boats head out from the village at 6:30pm and disappear over the horizon, there must be hundreds of them. They don't return until 7am the next day. The boats are all rowed, incredible, wonder they look hard!

Had a few too many beers around a bonfire...couldn't be helped, there was a group of Canadian health work volunteers still at university who wanted to know everything we'd done... Haha not sure they realised just how I like an audience... As does mr Combrink!

I could tell we lost them when they went to the toilet and never returned!
