Flag of Guinea  , Kedougou,
Wednesday, October 10, 2012

We spent most of the day cleaning mud off everything, washing drying, tightening nuts and bolts and generally sorting ourselves out ( in a way it's just to feel back in control!)

Once we got over (Adrian still hasn't) the bill shock for hotel tata we rode the bikes into town to draw cash, love riding the bike in shorts, t shirt and no helmet. We're millionaires, we drew 2 mullion francs, with pockets bulging we rushed home to stash our hoard!

Overall a god day, feeling good about heading off tomorrow!

Hmm and then we met the Germans. Or the purveyors of doom (the individual's not the population). So, they live in guinea and have for 10 years, worked all over Africa for 20, here's the advice;

1. Don't go to cote divore, go to Mali, it's dangerous but better.

2. Go to Conakry to get the visas but bandits might steal the bikes.

3. Don't ride after 5pm, bandits will steal the bikes.

4. Dony go to Nigeria, bandits will steal the bikes.

5. Don't to Cameroon, don't go to Congo blah blah blah, oh but do visit Botswana, it's lovely.

Hmmm after one to many stories of AK's being shoved in mouthes and motorcycle accidents (that all end in death) I'm off to bed. I hope they have safe flight one day...clearly they can't find the airport!
