Today we chose as the day to visit the Tower Bridge Observatory in Bucksport. The tallest bridge observatory in the world; who knew? Husband was casually jogging up the last set of stairs when pop. His knee popped, he went down in a heap and had to be sent down the elevator in a wheelchair.
His knee had been giving him some trouble previous to this which is why he'd given up going down to the ocean too often what with the incredibly steep 53 stairs it takes to get there. We still aren't sure what he's done as they have recommeded resting and icing it and since he can't put weight on it he has been on crutches thanks to the hospital in Belfast, Maine. We hope his visit next week to the orthopedist will clear things up.
It meant he was unable to carry anything, drive, cook, etc. and was a bit scary. Work might also have been an issue. So far though he has soldiered on.
So back to the observatory. Very cool structure. We enjoyed our brief visit and then had a short tour around the Fort Knox site. Interesting. The locals were extremely helpful and made it easier for us given his injury.
Welp, back to the cottage for some more loafing around!
Oh, and of course another game of The Name Game.
This time I had two new partners; won the second game but had to concede game three with a second place finish. I will live to strike again!
