Some final thoughts about our trip by the children.....
Abi
I really enjoyed spending loads of time with my family and visiting so many exotic places around the world. I have learnt and seen so much in each country we visited that it has been an amazing experience. It was great going traveling and I hope we can go again one day, however, it is really nice being home seeing all my friends and family.
Imi
It was so weird because we were so excited, but then I was bored. It has been really nice seeing my friends and family. Traveling has been so good because we've done brilliant stuff and it's been amazing.
Jack
I like traveling, spending time with my family. I love looking at my pictures in my room at home. It's nice to see my cousins, friends and family. I like roast chicken and cereal at home.

Some facts:
In 140 days of traveling we slept in 50 different beds in 6 countries!

We arrived back in London all in one piece and with all our luggage. So lovely to catch up with our family and friends, but the launch back into our London life has left us somewhat reeling and very surreal for the moment. Our "Great Escape" has turned into our "Great Adventure". We have had the most amazing time, we have learnt a lot about each other as well as all the cultures we have encountered along the way. As parents we have to say that Abi, Imi and Jack have been amazing, real troopers taking everything in their stride. We feel incredibly proud of them and have enjoyed every moment of their company. As they stride into school without a backwards glance after 5 months together, we feel we might just miss them a bit!!
Would we do it all again? Of course we would, you only live once!

A few quotes that we stumbled upon along the way!
A Chinese proverb:
"He who returns from a journey is not the same as he who left"

Mark Twain:
"Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sail. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Anonymous:
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the places and moments that take our breath away"

Hodding Carter:
"There are two things we should give our children: one is roots and the other is wings"
