Hamilton Island - Sunday 28th January - Thursday 1st February 2007
We arrived flying in low over the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland, stunning turquoise waters and white beaches with tropical vegetation. Hot hot! Hamilton was beautiful if not a little strange as it is a resort island, so no cars just golf carts to gt around!! We have to say we crashed, home cooked meals and early nights! Also "the Boys" managed to get much needed haircuts - check out the photos!
Our first venture to the Barrier Reef was a pretty rough trip out, however, some great snorkeling all geared up in "Stinger suits" just in case of a deadly jelly fish encounter!! Abi was feeling a little apprehensive and on the lookout for killer Sting Rays, man-eating Sharks etc! Whilst Jack and Imi jumped in and snorkeled their way around taking the amazing fish and muticoloured corals. After our trip the torrential rains set in for the last day and our leaving by boat for the main land and the continuation of our Australian Adventure.....
