Meilman Station - Wednesday 24th January - Saturday 27th January 2007
After a breathtaking drive through  the Australian outback via Chinkapook and Manangatang we arrived at the front drive of the Gorman Meilman Station, with still 10 miles to go to the front door! From the moment we walked through the door we did not stop laughing, eating , drinking and relentless fun! To list a few activities: harvesting grapes, ploughing fields, catching Emus, speedboat rides and the crazy biscuit on the Murray River, sleeping in Swags, swimming, cricket, bike rides & motorbike rides, Ute driving , crazy night 4WD star gazing and even Comet McNaught was included in the deal not to mention 40*C heat! Animals along the way included puppies, sheep, Kangaroos, Emus, Hares and the most incredible bird life.(Steve's favorite the Butcher Bird)... What more could you ask for on an adventure holiday?!
Our final day culminated in a full on Aussie Australia Day, with bunting on the Murray, Pavlova, Lamingtons, BBQ, Stubbies and Champagne (well for Jayne and Karen!) Not forgetting the dramatic ending of Flaming Sambuccas (good job Luke has the Fire Engine down the road!) and sticky floors!
This has been a truly wonderful and "life changing" experience. How long have we known you.....? A huge thank you from the Beardsley's to Andy, Jayne, Albert, Samuel and Charlotte.

Imi's Blog:
I loved the puppies, they were so cute. Charlotte, Albert and Samuel were so friendly. Charlotte took us on a beautiful bike ride, she was only 11 and she drove us in a ute and I saw Kangaroos. I went on the back of Albert's motorbike, he went really fast it was so fun. I slept in a Swag in a tent. Me ,Charlotte and Abi went on the boat and on a round thing called a doughnut, it was connected to the boat and we went so fast.

Jack's Blog:
I got up with Samuel one morning and had to run to get the bikes from the girls. Samuel had a trick bike, I had a dink on the front and the back! I slept in a tent in a swag, I saw the Milky way, Southern cross and a comet, the top was a circle with flashes and sprinkles around and the tail was a line in the sky. The stars came close to the ground. Andy took us on a silly ride in the night. I went on the doughnut with me Albert and Samuel. Andy drove the boat so fast and sideways I fell off! On Australian day I went with Will on the biscuit, when the boat first started we fell off, then we went on the boat with James driving. Samuel and big Jack had a supa dupa go. I went on the back of Albert's motorbike, I wore long trousers and shoes and a helmet and I went really fast. Polly the dog jumped on the back with me in the middle.

Abi's Blog:
We had a fabulous time at Charlotte's farm. They had two lovely  Kelpie dogs called Mo and Polly. Polly had 3 puppies which were really sweet. It was so fun because every single day me , Charlotte and Imi would go on a bike ride. Charlotte would dink me on the back and Imi would ride a bike on her own. Mo was a very loyal dog as he would always follow us , to look after us. the front of the house looks out to the Murray river. Andy would take us on the doughnut on the back of the speed boat( It was so fun). On Australia day we had a massive party by the river. James drove us on the flat biscuit and it was really, really, really fast and fun, we all fell off! We spent ages paddling in a canoe and chatting. One morning Charlotte and I got up really early before anyone woke up and went on a long bike ride. we saw loads of rabbits and had fun chatting some more! Another day Imi, Jack and Samuel ran after us, took our bikes and left us stranded, we had a long walk back home! After Imi and Jack had been on the motor bike, I jumped on with my shorts on and burnt my leg. We had a lovely time and I am hoping to see everyone soon!
