Tuesday 9th January 2007 to Saturday 13th January 2007
We waved goodbye to Merimbula and set off to meet our cousins in Mallacoota. We spotted our first Kangaroos! We had a campa van to stay in! with the kind hospitality of John and Eva Black. Karen's last visit was 23 years ago and hardly a change had occurred in this sleepy fishing town! (Though David reckoned the campa van wasn't the same one!). What a great time we had, stunning beaches with hardly a person in site, great food and Jazz at the golf course all with in walking distance. John an ex- Abalone diver (what amazing tales he had to tell) took Stephen out for a day with David Cray fishing! It sounded like a rough trip but the results were two delicious Crayfish on our plate 3 hours after catching not bad!! Abi, Imi and Jack had great fun with their cousins Martin and Katelyn, swimming (too cold in the sea!), sliding down cool sandbanks and Kangaroo pooh kicking! Karen looked up from her pilates in the sun to find a large Kangaroo had come to observe a little too closely! We had a lovely time. Great hospitality, again thanks Guys.

Hi everyone, it's Abi. I am having a fabulous time in Australia! Though I am really missing all of my friends! We had a really good time in Mallacoota, playing in the pool and having fun with our cousins, Katelyn and Martin. We went walking down the beach and found an amazing sand dune, which we climbed it and slid down! Some people had boogie boards and slid down the sand dune on there tummies! On our last night we went to the golf club for the second time to listen to a really good jazz band. Also we stayed in a really cool campa van!

Hi Class 2B thank you for all your lovely messages. I'm missing you a lot, however, I'm having a great time travelling around the world. Right now I am in Australia and it is very fun. We've been staying in a campa van at someone's house, where we met two of our cousins. At the beach there was a big sand hill, which I ran down. Other people went down it on their boogie boards and they were very good. Then we went to some friends, who have lots of race horses, a giant trampoline and a little swimming pool with a small slide. Got to go now because I am going to play on the PlayStation. Lots of Imi xxx

A big hello to Leon and Class RC from Jack. I am in Australia. I saw the "Barmy Army" at the cricket wearing my new Australian Baseball Cap. Imi lost her Duck on the aeroplane on the way to Australia, so I bought her a new duck from the cricket. When I got to see my cousins, Martin and Katelyn, they showed me shark in a tank they had caught. It was very sad as it nearly died. My Dad went on a big boat and caught a Crayfish. Please send me some messages as I miss you all. Also a special hello to Granny, Uncle Craig, Aunty Julie, Ollie & Daisy and all my family. Love Jack xxoo

Jealousy
After all now a comment from me. It took some time to overcome my astonishment and jealousy and regain breath after discovering that you are vagbonding the world. After reading your entries and scrolling through your marvellous photos - How can you do that to us hard working slaves in Austria!!! Nice memories returned of my trip to Sao paolo and Iguacu about 3 years ago. And again on our last holidays in Australia in October. In case you're heading that direction don't miss out Adelaide and the Barossa valley - visit the Yalumba winery - my favourite Aussie wine.
We wish you a safe onward journey - give our love to the kids - we keep in touch
