Was up pretty early cause the sun was shining and it was HOT! Had a terrible sleep, parties, crying kids and snoring all night. There was only 1 bathroom/shower building for the whole 120 unit site - PLUS the 4 overflow fields so I got to be stinky.
Packed up and was off to the Hoo Doos - they are great! Hopefully the pictures do them justice. After that headed to Drumheller. Stopped at the Tourist Info Centre where they have the largest TRex. They have a nice park with fountains and kids water park. You can climb the stairs up the TRex and look out it's mouth. Was a line up so I didnt go. Being the Saturday of a long weekend it was very busy!
Then I headed to the Royal Tyrrell Museum which was amazing
I had some time to kill before I could check into the Travelodge (seriously needed to shower and charge everything) so I headed to Wayne and the 11 bridges over 4 miles. Wayne was a mining town that when in it's prime had a population of 2450. Current population....47. Then to Rosedale and the suspension bridge - over the Red Deer River. My camera ran out of juice so I dont have any pics of the bridge. It was metal and quite long. Totally had that watery leg feeling afterwards, haha
The motel was just over the river from the Tourist Info Centre so over the trees I can see the head of the TRex - so funny! Check out the pic! After a long shower and some charging I walked into downtown Drumheller. It was about 6pm and not much was open so I amused myself - again see pics.
It was nice to have a bed (had a GREAT night sleep) and my own space - especially after the RV park! Not sure what's next for tomorrow, will wing it and see what happens!
