Finally!!
The past week has been crazy. Running around trying to get everything organized before I leave. It's been interesting cause all my stuff is in storage and I think, oh, I can use...uh oh, that’s packed ..somewhere...
I went to visit Grandma on June 28th (Monday) and Kyle came with. We had a good visit. I discovered the affects of Monster engery drinks (insert two claw fingers plus roarring sounds here) and Kyle admitted he’s too school for cool.
The trip began when I left Kelowna on Tues (June 29th). Didn’t get out of town til 1:30pm. Had to get Natasha’s Speed and go to Staples yet again. I’m sure the poor girl at staples thinks I’m now stocking her ( staucking, stalking, how the hell do you spell stauking?).
I drove to Jewel Lake (about 20 min outside of Greenwood) to visit M&D. Got there around 4pm. Had a good dinner of steak, roasted potatoes, corn on the cob and garlic shrimp. Yum. We got some good pics of the funny sunglasses, lol.
It was a great visit, who can resist the blueberry teas. Left around 11:30am, headed to Nelson. Got there around 2:45pm and went to visit Deb @ KIS. It was great to finally meet her in person. She rocks!
Left Nelson around 3:45 – 4pm and headed towards Cranbrook. Figured I’d find a campground on the way.
I’m now at the Goldilocks of provincial camp grounds. First I went to Yahk and it was too empty. Serious ghost town. Then I went to Moyie Lake but it was too full. Finally I went to Jimsmith Lake and it was just right!
I didn’t arrive til 8pm MST (crap, lost an hour). Got the tent up in no time and the fire going too. I cooked up two hot dogs over the fire – a fitting first campfire dinner. I keep hearing this odd growling noise but discovered it’s just my neighbour and his abundent phlem.
Well. I guess it’s time to call it a night. I haven’t even looked at my pictures yet. Adue.
