Last day in Nice (actually Villafranchese). We went to the hotel breakfast - like a B & b at home. Then it was off to find s laundry, which was a lengthy task. Then we checked out and hit the road for Cinque Terre, Italy about 12:30.
We arrived about 6:30 to the quaint little seaside village of monterossa la Marie. We checked into the hotel and the clerk proceeded to walk me to the room - which oddly enough was many, many blocks from the frontdesk - and completely detached.
Most of the Italians so far speak no English and do not seem fond or helpful to Americans. I am not loving Italy so far. Thry say the French are rude, but I just don't agree with that
We had a bad dinner (I should have taken a picture of my shrimp scampi
Tomorrow we hike to all five cities. Wish me luck - it is a long way up.
