Avebury is a small town north of Stonehenge. Stacy found out about it reading her travel books prior to us coming here and wanted to visit because it has many of the stones similar to Stonehenge and you can climb and touch these. The Avebury Circle is a circle of very many stones of which the town of Avebury now is in the midst. In our short time here we got the impression it was kind of an artsy hippy town. There were adverts (British for advertisements) at the Red Lion (the pub) for those looking for a job, which we considered, but thought we should be moving on.
