Sorry for the delay in posting!  Work last week was long...and boring.  Not much to report!  The Schlumberger office is located in a suburb of Aberdeen called Dyce.  It is a ~30 minute cab drive from my lovely hotel to the Ashley House (as the office building is named).  We've gotten some stuff done, but our main objective continues to be elusive!  Isn't that always the case?!  Anyway, it's boring to write about work, so I won't.  :)  I have eaten out every meal (even though I have a kitchen!) and so far the food has been pretty good.  There is a little italian place around the corner from my hotel that has really good pizza (the world's most perfect food!!) and I have been there twice since I arrived.  I've been to a spanish Tapa's bar and had paella, an indian restaurant and had naan and rice and chicken tikka masala, a different italian place and had soggy pizza (no good!!), and a steak place that the Aberdeen project manager took my boss and I to (his treat!! :) ).  So I think, needless to say, that I have gained 20 lbs!!  ARGH. ;)

I did manage an adventure this weekend though!  I took a train ride down the eastern coast to Edinburgh!!  What a city!  I drug my boss along for company, he'd never been either, and we took a bus tour around the city, and toured the Edinburgh Castle, and climbed a tower!  Whew!!!  A lot of the pics are attached.  I highly recommend that city to anyone who has a chance to go!  Very pretty!

Today was back to work in Aberdeen unfortunately.... and I am still in the office!!  I have been here over 12 hours and it's weighing on my sanity!  Tomorrow is our last day in Aberdeen (for a while anyway), we fly back to Reading, England to spend Wednesday, Thursday and Friday working at the Schlumberger office there.  I will be checking out of my beloved rooms tomorrow morning, which I am so sad about!  But, I am sure I will be back to work here in the near future, so I will be back!!!!  I hope everyone is doing great!  My love to everyone, and welcome to Blake Bance!! :)  Congrats you guys!!  Cheers!  bdb
