My fathers side of the family were born and bred in Antigua. Last week myself and my youngest daughter including other members of our family travelled to Antigua to bury our grandfather in Old Road Village.
Met loads of family and saw where my dad went to school and also where my great grandmother was buried, my cousins and myself were also able to go through the birth, marriages and  death records to find out some family history, very interesting!

Quite a few of our family work at the Curtain Bluff Resort which is on the doorstep of Old Road and as the hotel was closed to guests at the time we were given a tour of the hotel, which I must say does look really luxurious, if only we could have afforded it but then would I want to be served by my relatives???? Maybe not.

Will be looking forward to bringing my husband here as he is from Jamaica and as never been to Antigua, in my opinion it is one of the most beautiful islands I have seen.
