Left Auckland 4pm bound for Santiago on a 12 hr LAN Chile flight. Managed dinner and "Water for Elephants" before succumbing to a Sea Legs induced mini-coma. Woke up around 7 hours later to breakfast. Nice. When I say "woke" it's not like I properly slept - the young boy in front was constantly coughing up a lung - but in terms of flight sleep it was pretty good. Andy on the other hand, hasnt slept a wink and is about 5 movies in front of me.
So here we are in Santiago - not QUITE sure what the time is. iPhone says 12:50pm, airport clock says 1:50pm and body clock says 4:50am. Main thing is that we board the plane to Lima sometime in the next few hours. Lima, Peru, is still another 5 hours and another timezone away from here.
So we are, still, in Thu 01st Sept, and I get the feeling we will be in this day for a very long time indeed. So far I'm liking it.
Just necked an altitude sickness pill in anticipation of Cuzco in the morning. Love Starbucks free Wi-fi.
