Beaches and Lincoln Park

       Today I went to all new places that I haven't been yet. The weather isn't so great today...overcast, in the 60s and scattered showers and thunderstorms all day. Needless to say, Raina's trip to the dog beach was canceled because the water was insane. I'm a strong swimmer and even I didn't want to go swimming. 
So instead we walked around the beach area a bit. I took her back to the hotel and then headed over to Lincoln Park. I've heard that it rivals Central Park in New York, but I couldn't find the really pretty parts of the park. I did find the Lincoln Park Zoo, however, which is free. That's right a FREE zoo in Chicago! It was pretty nice. I didn't stay long, but I did stay long enough to see some seals and lions, which made me happy.

      I headed back to Downers Grove early since I like it here a lot. I went and got insane amounts of food and chocolate and cupcakes downtown. I've pretty much burnt myself out, so I am gonna hang around town today. I still have homework to do too and need to pack since I'm leaving early tomorrow morning to do the 15 hour drive home. Just thinking about the drive exhausts me!
