My last 2 days in Munich were fairly uneventful...I spent the days wandering around or reading, and the nights drinking in the hostel. Met a couple soldiers who were on 2 weeks leave from Iraq. I left for Rome on the morning of the 24th, and after a 12 hour train ride through Austria, I arrived in Rome at 7PM.

I was met at the train station by my roommate Brendan, and we walked to the apartment we are renting, which is about 2 blocks from the colliseum. Met up with everyone else there. Now there are 5 of us, 3 guys that just got out of the Marines about a week ago, and one of Hart's friends who lives in Denamrk. Were staying with him when we go there. We went out to dinner at a pretty nice place that Hart and Fuzz (the guy that lives in Denamrk) knew of. They studied in Rome for 6 months, so they know all the good spots. We had a few drinks and then went to bed.

Today is a national holiday in Rome, Liberation Day, so everyone was out today. We went to the colliseum, the forum, an area where the emperors used to live, a bunch of churches, and some fountains and squares. It was pretty amazing, took a lot of pictures. Its really hard to believe that this stuff is still around after 2000 years. Tonight were heading out for another nice dinner, then to some bars. Tomorrow were going to the vatican. Im not sure Im going to have enough time to go to Tianzano, where the Colelli's are, were on a pretty tight schedule here, so much to see...
