We got our new suitcase, packed with all our winter gear, put into
storage. We had transport arranged to Port Canaveral and so we had a one hour
drive down to embarkation. Of course, Disney made everything easy - it took
about 30 minutes to check in, have a photo taken with Minnie and to board the
ship. It is enormous! Enormous! Our cabin, on deck ten, was very well located -
it was bigger than our room in New York and very well equipped. I had
researched the room selections, and chosen one that was not directly above or
below one of the entertainment areas,
was close to the decks where a lot of the entertainment options were and
was close (but not too close) to the lifts. Unfortunately, Deborah started
feeling ill shortly after boarding, so after the Sail Away party on deck 11, we
went back to the room for a rest. Despite taking a motion sickness tablet,
Deborah still did not feel well throughout our very luxurious meal in Palo's -
one of the two 'signature' restaurants on board the Magic. For the extra $20 a
head we paid for our meal, we ended up with an outstanding Southern Italian
meal, including antipasto, appetiser, pasta, main course and desert. In fact
our waiter Marco was only too happy to provide additional tastings - or even
entire additional courses at no extra charge - just so long as we ended up full
at the end.  During the evening we
had several visits from the head waiter to make sure that all was going well,
and we had a visit from the Chef as well, who was interested in our feedback on
the meal. We needed an early night, so off to bed we went - just after
midnight. Tomorrow is our Port visit to Nassau in the Bahamas,
