Officially, the plan for today was to get up early and go to the Macey's Thanksgiving Day Parade. However, what actually happened was that we were just too tired to be bothered fighting with the 2 million people who line the streets to see the parade. As a result, we watched the parade on the television in our room instead, and then we watched the National Dog Show! We ended up not really getting going until about 2:00. We had a little walk to get lunch (Ruby Tuesdays) which was nice - but ultimately a bad idea as we had a very fancy and expensive meal at a restaurant called aureale. Thanksgiving tea was expensive ($115 a head) and really very nice - however we don't know that it was really $115 a head nice. We both felt that we had had at least an equal quality meal at the Napa Rose, but with better, more involved service. I guess it didn't help that we were still pretty full from lunch as well. After tea, we headed back to the hotel to rest up for the Black Friday madness, which started at midnight...
