Sadly, we disembarked the Dream today. It was an unreasonably early morning - we had to be out of our cabin by 8:00 a.m. and off the ship before 9:00. They did provide breakfast for us though, so we got a chance to farewell our wait staff for the trip and our dining companions. When we finally got through customs, we boarded a coach and were rapidly on our way back to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We were back there by 10:30 a.m. and we were fortunate to be able to get into our room immediately. We decided to spend the day at Downtown Disney - there have been a few changes there, but that part is looking quite good. Pleasure Island and 'The west End' however are looking a bit tired and dated - like Disney are not really sure what they want to do with them. A number of the specialty stores have been closed and replaced with more Disney owned stores instead. We got back to the Lodge in time for a 7:00 p.m. meal at Sanna - the restaurant at the Kidani Village section of Animal Kingdom Lodge. The African breads and tandoori chicken were excellent - unfortunately we were too full to have desert.A quiet stroll back to the lodge helped dinner go down. Earlier in the day, we had been provided with a torch by housekeeping, along with an explanation that an electrical load test would be carried out that night, which would involve the power going off at some stage for up to several hours. Sure enough, the power went off at about 1:00 a.m. and didn't come back on until around 3:00 - which of course saw the lights and television come on as well.
