Bratslavia was less than 2 hours away from Vienna, right over the border in Slovakia so it was an easy drive, and we arrived in the afternoon. The camp site we checked into was intense. It was situated on a lake about 5kms out of the city, and packed a punch for things to do. On the grounds were 3 bars, cable skiing, mini golf, inflatable football, boat hire and lots of inflatable climbing walls out on the lake for kids to swim up to. That was only in the half of the park we went too, the sign shows even more activities. To add to that craziness, it was also the cheapest camp ground we have stayed in to date at 14 euros.
Since we arrived on a Saturday night, it seemed perfect to go out and hit the town properly. We started drinking at the camp ground first before catching the tram back into the old town where all the pubs and bars are. Beers were pretty well priced, even in the pubs they were less than 3 euros for a pint. We ended the night having a pint in the irish pub, its practically turning into tradition! We spent the next day sleeping off a hangover. Barry had planned to do the cable skiing, but by the time we were up the weather hard turned and it was closed.
We left Bratslavia bound for Romania, but first we had to stop in at Budapest to see if Barrys bank card had arrived. It hadnt.
