The two hour ferry to Tallinn started off shaky but ended up being a very calm trip the rest of the way. Again there were no border formalities, Rachel is starting to get annoyed she isnt collecting any stamps in her passport for this road trip. We drove through the old town to tallinn in half an hour, it looks so cute, and picturesque. We would liked to have stayed longer and explored a bit more but we just didnt have the time, also, it was bucketing down with rain, which made it less fun.
We drove out to Parnu half way down the coast of Estonia, an old beach town with a western american cowboy feel to the buildings for nightfall. we free camped at the beach where several other people were doing the same, and a group of teenagers were shooting a cheesy pop video. Barry took lots of videos. from behind the bushes. when we first followed the roadsigns down to the beach we were a bit worried. there were burnt out dereclect old concrete block buildings and bits of barbed wire fencing, it was the sort of place you would expect a group of crazy gun toting eastern european guys hanging out. we only stayed because we seen other, normal looking, people driving down there.
