We arrived in Vientiane by bus from Vang Vieng yesterday. There aren't many specific sights to see here but it's a nice enough place to spend a couple of days.

Our first day here was spent wandering the streets until we got too hot and bothered and had to cool down with a couple of BeerLaos (anyone seeing a theme to our Laos experience?!) After a couple of jugs, we found an exceptionally cheap Indian restaurant where nothing we ordered cost more than 50p!

Today is flippin' hot again so we're just mooching around between cafes etc until it's more comfortable to walk around outside again. We did visit the most holy site in Laos today - a big gold stupa, see the pics.

Flying to Phnom Penh tomorrow morning to start our tour of Cambodia...
