We took a ferry over to Colonia, Uruguay, which is a cute, small town with cobblestone streets. Our hotel had a roof deck, where we watched a couple of sunsets over the water. The first day, we rented scooters to go to a couple of beaches in the town. All was going well, until we noticed that we hadnīt seen Tim in awhile. Dave and Brian set out to find him while the ladies and Clint layed on the beach. It turns out that Tim had broken down, so Dave gave him his scooter to take back to the shop. Dave walked Timīs broken bike back to the beach for him. When we went all mounted up to leave, Dave didnīt have a bike, so Erica made Dave sit behind her on her bike! She said that no one drove her hog but her.
The next day we one-upped ourselves by renting a 6 passenger golf cart and 2 mini-ATVs. We spent all day at the beach, and the guys played a heated round of home run derby in the ocean. There was only one loser, pobre David. When we headed back with the golf cart, we caused a bit of a scene. While golf carts are pretty common in this town, ours would only go about 5 miles per hour since the battery had run down. Children were heckling us from the side of the road. I think one even tried to help push us. I felt like Austin Powers.

And, Dave has the pictures for this town in the earlier BA entry.
