11/06/07 - Final Golf - 2 rounds both 77's. Met Hiro and Katsu (from Japan), really polite gentlemen (unlike the Yanks!) exchanged email addresses.
Between rounds sold my spare set of irons in exchange for a Cleveland driver, didn't want to but I had too much luggage weight. Gave my unwanted items to a charity for children, which eased my conscience.
Last Day 12/06/07 - Well I returned the RV (11,591 miles) and managed to blag my way through the bumps and scratches and they didn't have a record of the two accidents. So I got away with $1900 worth of damage. I didn't have the heart to reclaim for the service and the replacement toilet valve. However, the girl who served me bought me a "Powerade" so I gave her the receipts and guess what?
They refunded me $155. Finally, some financial aid (god knows I could do with it!)
It was very sad handing back my "home" to its owners. And whilst all my belongings are in two bags I feel as though I'm missing something. Can't wait for a good nights sleep on the plane!
13/06/07 - Back in the UK - It's 60 degrees, raining and cool. Bags are nowhere to be seen! Welcome back to the UK!
Once again our British luggage handlers take the biscuit for their efficiency. This time they tell me my luggage is at Heathrow and will be returned tonight or tomorrow. It's 7.00pm and I've been home 4 hours, already wishing I hadn't left Palm Springs. However, it's time to move on, the US is now all done and so is the blog.
