17/04/07 - Woke up to find that my dog had disappeared (they all do that!) Short drive to Monument Valley.
Now, if you are ever in this part of the world, don't think that the "valley" stops at the Visitor Centre. Take a guided tour or do like I did and drive through the 17 mile loop. In all it takes about 2 hours (depending upon how often you stop to take photos) It's amazing what nature can do.
Arrived in Moab @2pm (but it was really 3pm - I get confused with different States and what daylight hours they observe) and to my surprise they have a golf course! So I played and then, after a Steak dinner, settled down for the night @ the local KOA.
And the view was still there, unlike the dog!
