Weekend 24/25 March 2007 - Mobile Alabama
Well I won't bore you with my weekend playing golf, just to say, on Saturday I played at Timbercreek GC - east of Mobile. Great course excellent value (£22). Only problem it was slow and I was in the middle of several 3 balls. I was playing from the "Tiger" tees and this obese guy decided he didn't want to wait and drove through me from the "baby" tees. You can imagine my reaction. He didn't even apologise. I have no respect for "golfers" who don't observe etiquette!
Stayed at Parkway RV campground nearby - a bit rough but cheap.
Sunday I drove south of Mobile and played Gulf Pines - poor but good views of the Gulf. I've played better courses but not many worse! Finished at 3.30pm and drove to New Orleans. Arrived at 7.00pm at West New Orleans RV campground. Not much evidence of the damage caused by "Katrina" but then, I was advised of the areas to avoid by the local Tourist Centre. Will stay 2 nights and visit the French Quarter, Downtown on Monday night.
"There's a moon over Bourbon Street".

Is an 'obese guy' the same as a fat bastard? I hope you are not going all p.c. on me!
Life trundles on here at work, bad drivers bump their cars then come and moan at us for any reason that springs to their minds! Susan and children are fine (Fran has only two weeks left to serve on her ASBO!). Weather fine, warm and sunny. TTFN, Michael

Michael I know what you mean. I hate golfers with no etiquete, esp the Fb they put dints in the green when they walk over your line!
