20/03/07 to 22/03/07 - Columbia, Charleston, Savannah,Jacksonville & Ocala
20/03/07 -Arrived in Charleston on the east coast at 9.30am. Quick drive thru and onto Kiawah Island (1991 Ryder Cup venue - "War on the Shore"). Had lunch in the clubhouse. The green fee for the Ocean course was $320, so I left for Savannah!
Another quick drive thru Savannah, nothing to spectacular here onto Richmond Hill campsite (30 miles south of Savannah). Nice place by the side of a lake but no Internet facility. No accidents today.

21/03/07 - First round of golf at Salepo Hammocks GC ($38.50) -  A typical lowland course in good condition (unlike my golf!) Had my haircut at Walmart. Set off for Jacksonville and arrived at a campsite in Yulee at 8.30pm. Again no accidents.
22/03/07 - Another early start @ 6.00am. Arrived in downtown Jacksonville @ 8.00am. Yet another quick drive thru and then towards St. Augustine. Stopped off at the "World Golf Village" - did some golf shopping and paid a visit to the golf "Hall of Fame". (I didn't realise it was located here, I stumbled on it by accident)
Onto Cimarrone GC (Si-ma-ron) great value and an excellent course. Played with Jerry (Michigan) and Lynne (Augusta) - who now live as neighbours on the course. Nice people, good fun, played badly - too quick. Even Jerry commented on my swing speed. (bjsaffele@comcast.net - so I don't forget) Jerry shot a 75 with a suspect wrist and I shot a 95 with an even more suspect swing!)
Left the GC @ 6.15pm took the wrong turning and ended up 100 south instead of 100 miles west (hence 200 miles off course). Found a campsite in Ocala, not far from Orlando.
