In the bus...

The morning after the excessive drinking started very late. We JUST managed the checkout time of 12o'clock. After that we went to have lunch in a burger place around the corner and walked towards the river to go shopping in the VEA supermarket and fetch a collectivo to the bus terminal. Once there we booked us into a cheap but promising bus.

On the way to the hostel we got dropped off in a place a couple of blocks from Plaza de Armaz. This way we got to know of another, very nice area of Arequipa, which hosts the local markets and the main shopping street. We bought last supplies for our bus journey and headed back to the bus stop.

We arrived just in time but no one was boarding. Strange!!! 15minutes later our bags got taken and we had to follow the trolley to the other bus terminal. Arrived at the front desk of Plumabus, we were asked to exchange our bus ticket, for one of Plumabus and number 3 & 4 for 63 & 64. Bella exploded!!! The lady in the desk was apologetic, but didn’t attempt to explain the reason for the change. Bella insisted to get the seats 3 & 4 and after a bit of shouting managed to get them. In the bus we realised that 63 & 64 were actually semi-cama seats, while the panormatic seats of 3&4 were only economic seats. REALLY annoying!!! The headlights didn’t work, we didn’t get any meals or snacks, the toilet didn’t work, the movies were in Espaniol only and, in the night, they seemed to have switched of the aircon (was there one at all?). ANNOYING!!!, but we slept ok.
