After breakfast Mr. Wanlop from the hostel drove us to the bus stop and made sure that the lady from the bus takes us along to Suphanburi and there shows us the right bus to Ayutthaya. All the connections worked out fantastic and even the 5hours travel time didn't get boring as the Thai were very interested to talk and there were two European couples too. We arrived in Ayutthaya just past lunchtime when the thermometer must have hit close to 40degrees Celsius. Luckily this time we knew that the hostel is only 500m away from the bus stop and we had a map. So we found it very easy. The hostel looked nice from outside, so we booked it for 3 nights. Inside it isn’t as nice (a bit smelly and the staff really can’t speak a word English), but our previous hostels were very high class, so the comparison is a bit unfair. Later in the night we went out to have an ice coffee in one of the backpacker bars. It was just by chance that I could also organize a bike from the rental station opposite. They asked for 500Baht for two days, but I was able to negotiate them down to 450. That’s still a bit more than normal, but I made sure to get a 125ccm machine this time, so 80km/h will no longer be a max. limit. Hey hey!!! An other good thing was that we saved the 50baht for the tuk-tuk to the hostel.
