Today we drove to Corning, NY to visit the Corning Glass Museum. This is a very interesting museum. They have different presentations going on in various parts of the museum throughout the day covering topics of glass blowing, fiber optics, glass breaking, and bead making using the flamework method of glass art. There are also galleries of glass from throughout history, a 1,000 piece paperweight collection, Tiffany glass, beautiful cut glass, and much more.

After spending 6-7 hours there we headed to Taughannock Falls which is located on the western side of Cayuga Lake (one of the finger lakes). A friend of Fred's from H.S. and college who now lives in NY said they would be worth seeing. After walking .75 miles through the woods of a gorge, along the banks of a river we arrived at the falls and they did not disappoint being about a third taller than what we see at Starved Rock with the shear cliff walls of the gorge tower overhead.

We then drove to Utica, NY where we are spending the night.

We loved these falls and the Corning Museum! There were a lot of beautiful falls in the area. Nice job on the blog!
