Well, my flight got in just fine.  The flight itself wasn't too bad.  I coudn't get much sleep on the plane though, I was in the middle seat of the exit row (great leg room) and had nothing to lean on.  I think I'll pass on the exit row next time, so I can fold down the tray table and lay my head on that.
Getting from the airport to the hostel was simple enough.  The underground metro system here is huge, and at first can look a bit intimidating, but its not big deal.  Only had to transfer lines once and I got to the hostel in about an hour and a half.
The hostel, not so great.  I wasn't expecting much to begin with, but this isnt what I was expecting.  The rooms and beds are right up to par - 12 bunk beds crammed into tiny rooms, comfy enough.  My only problem is the people frequenting the bar below.  It's all old alchoholic looking locals who give me the stink eye every time I come in.  I can tell there is young people staying in my room, but I have yet to meet them
After checking in I grabbed a free tourist map and headed out.  I noticed there was a free walking tour starting in Green Park so I headed off in that direction. The map wasnt very detailed so I ended up walking around quite a bit through different parts of the city and parks. Eentually I found the group.   The tour itself was pretty boring, saw all the same stuff I did when I was here last time, and for the most part I knew more than the tour guide about certain spots.  Oh well, it was free and gave me some people to talk to for a bit.
After that I went to a pub recomended by the tour guide, I think it was the St Albert or something.  Not worth remembering.  The food was great, not too pricey either, but again - wierd looks from the locals.
With a stomache full of roast chicken and yorkshire pudding I headed off to Piccadilly Circus to wonder around for a bit.  I watched some street performers do their dance, play their instruments and kick soccer balls.  After a long day I am back at the hostel, still no sight of my bunk mates.  Time to rest my legs and get some sleep.  Which feels really weird because its only 8pm and thats not my style.  But tomorrow I'll be heading to Camden for their famous markets. And at night I will be joining a pub crawl in the same area. Well, time to upload some pictures and relax.
Update-** So I didn't end up going to bed too early. I got up an hour after writing that to use the washroom only to find all TWO of them full with lineups. So I headed downstairs to use the one in the bar. That's when I found the younger more "party" orientated hostel members. So I stayed up a bit with them, had a few drinks, and went walking around London to take night photos. It was a great time. I think I ended up in bed around 2am. Got a great sleep though!

Hey You!! Hope you are having amazing travels. I asked my mate who's from London on places to go to. He said ICE BAR, off Regent Street, (Oxford Circle tube stop) is really cool. It's exactly what it sounds like... a bar made of ICE... they give you parkas when you get in. Also said to check out SOHO (I went there and it was a good time).... also there is a Canada Pub if you are feelin' a lil home sick and want to watch hockey *groan*. LOL. (Canada pub is near covenant garden).

Have a FAB time Grumpy Bear!

Looks like you're having great weather. Glad you met the "young" crowd. Thanks for sharing the pictures which brought back some memories. I remember rowing in Green Park. Looking forward to more of your blogs.
Love you
