What I did
Seahorse Beach House

Flag of Canada  , Prince Edward Island,
Saturday, July 9, 2011

I let my GPS run its course, and it leads us ( Cheryl Lee is now following me in her car) easily to our beach house, the Seahorse by 5:30pm.
Saint John to Stratford had clocked in 3 1/2 hour drive, just a nice distance away from home without taking a whole day of driving.

We are warmly greeted by the owners in the parking lot as they were worried a bit about our faith since we were delayed from my ETA of 4 o'clock. Jim gave us a quick tour of the premises, gave us touristic information and a short version on their background, how they came to own & operate the Seahorse.

The Seahorse Beach House

Comfort, Warmth & Kindness

Located in luxurious Stratford subdivision, the Seahorse is a recent constructed 5 yrs old beach house, sitting on 1 acre of manicured flower gardens and meticulously tended landscape overlooking the sea, with a 500 meters walking distance to shore.

If you haven't felt their welcoming touch through email booking, you’ll capture all of it when Jim greet you in the driveway upon arrival and usher you into his home to meet Ursula, his wife. He’ll show you around the property, give you a quick history and touristic information, show all amenities and help you settle down; I give them 5 stars for first impression on their warmth & kindness.

Once inside, we soon notice their attention to details, everything aimed at the comfort of our stay. The air conditioned upper deck unit has one bedroom, double bed with a cozy memory foam top, crisp clean sheets, dresser & closet and an alarm clock so we won’t miss a minute our touring this province.

At our disposition in the living room is sofa & chair, cable T.V. & DVD, free WI FI access, board games for rainy days and lots of tourism guides & maps. Ursula also placed a large book case filled with great books and a full, recent magazine, rack.

Bathroom with shower and vanity, supplied with soap, shampoo, toilet paper and fresh towels accordingly to our needs.

The Kitchen is equipped with everything you may need, from carrot peeler, baggies, rubber bands & saran wrap, to coffee maker, microwave, toaster, iron & board. The fridge is stocked up with your choice of juice, milk and butter as well as bread, cereals, coffee, tea and jam to your fancies; Ursula contacted me for my preferences prior to our arrival.

The sea view patio is outfitted with a table and umbrella, a BBQ and even a sun chair and a hand umbrella for rainy days.

Chery Lee and I soon drop our bags, realizing the evening is still young, and decide to drive back to Charlottetown, a head start on our shopping trip planned for tomorrow.
