We left Kota Bahru and got a coach to Pinang which took around 7 hours in total with a few stops including lunch. Well done to the person who invented mp3 players, 7hour journeys wouldnt be the same without them! Got dropped off in Pinang somewhere, and we then got a local bus to Georgetown (the capital city). We stopped in chinatown district and walked a short distance to Love Lane (popular backpackers place). We found a very nice hostel for a decent price. Definately the best place we have stayed so far by a mile, the place is quite modern so thats why.

Last night we went to a market and had some nice food. We then went to a hong kong bar and met some very friendly people. Had a game of jenga in there and had a photo taken with everyone in the bar. Apparently they have taken a picture every night since 1953! We had a look through a load of the photo albums, pretty cool place.

Not done a lot today need to get our thai visa's sorted and were off to check out the largest budhist shrine in Malaysia tomorrow. It has a massive pagoda you can go up to check out some very good views at the top apparently, should be good.
