Guten Tag!

Well we took our train from Venice to Salzburg. It was a long night, but not unbearable as we had a nice German girl in our compartment to talk to. She was actually heading to Salzburg to work in a hospital as part of her training to become a doctor. So we had guarenteed medical assistance in the event of injury.. which if you know Dwight and alcohol.. could definately happen.

Salzburg upon our 4am arrival was very cold, cold enough to blitz my plan of getting a few hours sleep in the station. Thank god for McDonalds! We eventually found our bus, and made the way out to our hostel. Salzburg is a beautiful city, both in its picturesque mountain views and the polite friendly people who live here. Our hostel is quite big, and a family affair.. but we still managed to find an aussie (Chris) who was willing to down a few beers with us.

Despite the fact that we had had little to no sleep, a brewery tour was decided upon. We left the hostel, detoured to the house that Motzart lived in as a child and then got the the brewery. It was a magical experience, I confess we spent most of the time humming the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Song (In a family guy style). It included a few free beers in their hall, and a souvenir beer... wonderful.

By this time we were pretty wrecked and made our way back to the hostel for a nap. We probably would have slept through but Chris dragged us out of bed and out to find dinner. We managed to get a table at a cosy little Austrian diner, and had a great dinner. After this we swung by a service station to buy some beer (God Bless Europe), and spend the night having a few quiet Steigl Goldbreau´s.

This morning we got up early, had some breakfast and have since gone and seen a castle and attended a motzart festival. We will probably have a few more beers tonight and then tommorow morning we have a 9am train to Prague. Prague features some of the best nightclubs in the world... bring it on..

(By the way.. I added some photos to Venice and will add some to this entry. Ignore the pidgeon video.. i don´t even know why.. so I would rather not talk about it :P)

Peace Out
