It had been a long Christmas, and New Years was something I just wanted to get over with. My mind was set on one thing only: Getting back to Canada and the guy of my dreams as soon as possible!!

My stomach was doing somersaults as I walked towards the exit. I was terribly nervous, and didn't know what to expect; and even worse, what was expected of me?? I didn't know Calgary airport, so I had no clue where the waiting hall was. For all I knew Aaron could be standing around every corner. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and walked through the exit doors. Or rather, I jumped! -Straight into Aaron's arms. He had sneaked a bit further in than normally allowed, in order to avoid the crowd. Usually we are both very shy, but this time we might just have ended up embarrassing someone ;)

As we made our way out through the airport, I was not only gripping on tight to Aaron, but also a box of chocolate and the cutest teddy bear puppy:) It all felt like a dream, however the cold weather outside proved otherwise!
The entire drive to Red Deer I could not take my eyes off of Aaron. Luckily he was exactly the way I remembered. We had communicated online and by phone while being apart, but still nothing beats the real thing!

My cheeks were aching from the smile I had been wearing all day, when we went to bed. It had been a long expected day, and even better than I had imagined. I was still flying high above in the clouds, when my exhaustion finally took its toll...
