A long expected day lies ahead .

After a good nights sleep, most of the time was spent sharing stories with our fellow travelers. That night we were a decent mix of nationalities in the 11 bed dorm room: Denmark, Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Mexico, USA, Sweden and Australia. Just listening to the different stories people can tell, is the best entertainment you can ask for in my opinion. -Nic from Auckland, New Zealand: we wish you the best of luck on your onward journey.

In the afternoon it was finally time to go to our next destination; Civitavecchia, where our home for the next 16 days were waiting for us: the giant cruise ship of Carnival Liberty! Not an ordinary transportation for travelers like us, but the deal we got, was too good not to be taken advantage of! We did leaps of joy in the air, when we finally boarded the ship. We certainly stood out in the crowd of the other guests, not just because of our backpacks, but mostly because of our age!! -onboard with us were two of Carmella's friends from Canada, so besides from the crew, the four of us are the only young people on board!

At 8 pm we set sails, Wilma had us delayed for a couple of hours, though - nobody gets left behind, especially not paying guests who get delayed because of the forces of nature playing tricks on Florida!!

The best thing about cruise ships is the food! It's all about the food, and it is all paid for already, so there is no reason not to try it all! In the Silver Olympian Dining Room Carmella and I got our very own table, and the best waitress and waiter : Martina and Ladislav. Let 16 days of pure luxury begin! Thank God for the onboard gym, 'cause otherwise we might end up being the size of the average guest onboard, by the time we arrive in Florida!!
