Again, I am days behind with a list of things to catch up on. Sorry, but beaches and nice dinners and fun people are trumpin' my online time.

I can't say I am too sad over this.

Anyway speaking of awesome dinners, the quartet of us after work last Thursday headed over to Emirates Palace for a dinner with the customer. This is a hotel with some food in it and there was lots of gold looking or just plain out gold things. I have a few shots, but not too many.

We were going there to go to dinner at Hakkasan. And let me tell you, this place was nice. It was an Asian fusion restaurant with awesome decor that made it seem like you were not at a restaurant, but at a private gathering.

The food was delicious. I don't think any of us had more than one bad thing to day (there is always one bad thing). The sichuan green beans (ganbian sijidou) were one of the two that i have ever had that have even come close to the awesome that was China's. The mango duck was my favorite though with the sweet mango offsetting the duck flavor (clearly this is why I do not write food magazines...).

The place was awesome. I wish I could eat like that always.

But outside of Hakkasan, here at the hotel there is the Royal Orchid. This place is also extremely yummy. I have never been disappointed, and I have eaten there 4 times (the last one today..)

They have legit Sichuan flavors, so every time I get myself some Kung Pao Chicken and wallow in the tastes of my China home. I leave feeling happy every time.

Also, they server shrimp chips as this kind of free appetizer. Love it.

I actually think I have spent more meals eating Asian than eating Middle Eastern. Again, I can't say I am too sad about that. Though the one sushi place was rather a disappointment.

But no worries, I do eat local fare. I could go on and on about the garlic dipping sauce I eat with my pita. The hummus with the olive oil and the fresh baked pita is mouth watering. The lamb and chicken are delicious all grilled up or in a kebab.

Apparently this turned into a food entry without even knowing it. I was just going to talk about the fun night at the upscale Asian fusion restaurant. But then I just go blathering about food.

I don't have any pictures from the nice restaurant because I didn't want to seem too much a noob, I do have some of Emirates palace though. It gets beautiful at night, all lit up. I don't think I have a good shot of that though...

Anyway. I literally have a list of stuff to write and will try to write times two to get everything in before I leave. :)

Loving the Asian Fusion food, lol. It made me wonder what foods I will miss the most when I leave, but I can't decide. I suppose I'll find out, ne? And in your praise of glorious food, you neglected to mention how you will be filling a suitcase with ketchup pringles and storming the Cincinnati office XD

Oh the ketchup pringles. I thought I mentioned somewhere my rage regarding them. Oh well.
