So on with our adventure, the whole gang piled into a car and headed to the famous surf spot uluwatu where there wasn't' much surf(Bali standards, not Cali) but a bunch to see. First off in order to get this spot you have to travel down a very steep hill of steps and through a cave to even get to the beach, during high tide you actually have to swim through the cave however when we went it was low tide so it wasn't' as difficult. Uluwatu is considered the most dangerous spot in Bali because it holds the biggest waves, its also has very sharp reef and it is very shallow not to mention you take the risk of being slammed into the cave if you get caught inside, being the studly men we are- we live to tell another tale.......We really haven't been able to keep track of date and time, we actually keep a really unique time system for example as i write this it's about 2 bintangs(hours) before noon, and 2 cases(days) before Danny leaves...So some cases ago the group minus mike went to Nusa Dua beach to experience the flying fish and snorkeling. The flying fish is a large inflatable craft that when towed behind a boat during the right wind will fly about 20-30 feet in the air, it holds three people, two of which lie down flat holding on for your life and the other being the indo guy who jumps around throwing the weight of the craft around and at the same time making sure it doesn't' flip. Without this guy the craft would flip mind you we're cruising over about 5 feet of water over reef, quite exciting. After the flying fish we were supposed to para-sail, but the guy that set us up kept saying that it was to windy(even though we watched countless people para-sail as he was saying this) so we settled for snorkeling. We had about an hour to kill between events and Nusa Dua is filled with five star hotels on the beach so all of us smelling pretty bad and definitely not fitting in went from hotel to hotel pretending to be interested in staying. Sometimes we were not welcome right away, and sometimes the workers were pulling out room keys to tour us through the rooms, we finally settled on freeloading on the hotel with the coolest pool and a giant chess board! Just to stay nonchalant about it, we decided to take action shots and do cannon balls!
Stay tuned until next time!
