Its been a bit crap recently.

So yeah, I went and bought all of my scuba gear in prep for my first scuba lesson about a week ago. I spent a lot, but the guy said I could get a full refund on everything as long as I keep everything in re-sellable condition and the receipt. Jurassic Park!! Apparently I needed to get a medical done also. I don't remember being told about this when I signed up. So I had to trounce around West Point Loma (a few miles east of Ocean Beach) with all my scuba gear looking for a doctor's surgery. When I found one, the bloody doctor wouldn't sign off my medical, because I had an op on my hooter 10 years ago and he didn't know the history or something blah blah. I think he was just being a flid. Great!!! If I can't go scuba diving, cause I was born with defective breathing apparatus, I am gonna be really fucked off. I don't believe it. So I then had to book an appointment with an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. Can you fucking believe it? Me neither. Anyway, I eventually saw specialist yesterday (a week later). He gave my ears a good clean out, which bloody hurt. Instant better hearing though, even with Tinitus. Kudos!! He had a look around my nose as well. He said its no worries, but that I should get my nose fixed (for those who don't know, my septum is crooked, blocking off breathing through one side of the nose. The op I had 10 years ago was to open up the nostrils, but they must have forgotten one of them). Yeah I bet he recommends it at $XXXX a go. The cheeky sod has just taken some of my hard earned cash already, just to see is pretty face. I should have haggled for free citizenship. Ha Ha. The waiting room was a painful experience. Surrounded by women talking about babies, houses, blokes etc etc. I could feel my brain slowly melting!!. It was like never leaving AON.
So back to doctors to clear the rest of the medical. It gave me the sign off today. So will start scuba course in a few hrs. Sweeeeeeeeeet!!! The taxi driver Mike that gave me a lift to the hospital and back yesterday was telling me about when he travelled Europe and was telling me all these cool places to go and see and scuba in Baja California (Mexico). He said that he would drive me to Mexico, cheaper than getting the bus or the train. On that note, I just have to add that pretty much everyone here is sooo keen to hear how shit works in the UK. I keep telling people they have a better deal of things over here. I guess the grass always looks greener on the other side.

What else has been happening? There is a film crew filming a movie about Arnold Schwarzenegger's life opposite Ellis's pad. Right opposite. There are trailers right down the street. Do you reckon I could get a walk on part if they knew I had auditioned for Big Brother? Ha ha ha. They were only there for a couple of days, but it was kinda cool. All I could hear from the flat was "action" and "cut". It was kinda cool. The guy playing Arnie looked exactly the same. Freaky. For the next few days, Ellis wouldn't belt up with his impersonations.

Other than that, its been a bit quiet. I've got a bit further with illutration idea's, and I've come up with my second logo (for second company idea). Chatting to one of the founding members of the No Fear clothing company, who has given me loads of advise on how to market my ideas. That coupled with watching Ellis doodle away just fuels me more so. He was doing charactures of me for ages. Twat!! Everyone has been really helpful and passing on some cracking advise. I'm making notes of everything. Pretty much, my days consist of doodling in front of the telly watching DVD's, the odd trips to the beach and downtown, and drinking at 'The Stick'. I've just been hanging out with Ellis's mates in the evening and during the day. Hung out on the beach with Kristan (shes cool, drinks a lot), Treg (chatted loads about his 4 months in UK - he speaks like Bill and Ted) and John who is also cool.
Ellis and I have been talking about moving to New York, due to the Art scene and the market potential of both our works. He has had enough of Ocean Beach. He was thinking about going north, maybe San Fran, but I reckon New York is where it's at. This conversation is ongoing. Stay tuned for updates.

I'm definitely off to Mexico though. Its awesome in OB, but theres not a lot today besides surf and drink beer. Seeing as I don't do either of them, I'm gonna shift off around the 15th and come back before the end of the month.

Check me and my plan dammit!!
